Keywords meta tag has been very popular in search engine optimization world. It’s believed that search engines read this keyword to determine our site rank in their search results. Whether Google, as the biggest search engine currently, uses this keywords is debatable around search engine optimization experts.
At least for Google’s web search results currently (September 2009), the answer is no. Google doesn’t use the "keywords" meta tag in our web search ranking. This video explains more, or see the questions below.
