Introduction

RELOAD Editor is a Content Package and Metadata Editor. With RELOAD Editor, you can create, import, edit, and export Content Packages.

The Reload Editor is under active development, but since version v1.1 (11 August 2003), Reload Editor has been stable and fully functional. Subsequent versions have sought to provide improvements in usability and customisability.

For a general introduction to Interoperability and to see how the RELOAD editor fits into the interoperability process, you may wish to read the article: A recipe for interoperability in practice from the CETIS web site. The article, and associated resources is available as a 2mb Content Package which can be downloaded from: http://www.reload.ac.uk/ex/ecsig8demo.zip. This package may also be useful as a sample content package as you learn to use RELOAD.

Creating SCORM 1.2 Package using RELOAD Editor

This article describes how to create a SCORM 1.2 package to be used in Moodle and other e-learning platform that are comply to SCORM standards. For those who want to know what SCORM is, please click this link. And also click how to install and configure the tool we are going to use, the RELOAD Editor. In the example we are going to use HTML and SWF file resources. We will create the package from scratch, creating a table of content structure, arranging the resources, previewing the content, creating the package in ZIP format, and then testing it to Moodle.
