Now you can manage your WordPress blog easily using Blackberry mobile phone. Install the Blackberry App for WordPress, a free and open source application that will bring joy to Blackberry bloggers. The application works with all new BlackBerry devices such as the 8700, Pearl, Curve, Bold, and Storm, with BlackBerry OS 4.2.1 or newer.

It will work on WordPress.com and also self-hosted WordPress version 2.5.1 or newer. For self-hosted WordPress sites, make sure the XML-RPC options was enabled on Dashboard under Settings -> Writing.

Installing the application is quite easy, just point your BlackBerry browser to this address http://blackberry.wordpress.org/install. The application is still a beta software, so it still have bugs, so don’t use it to manage your primary blog.

What you can do with this application are:

• add and setup blog sites to manage (can manage more than one sites)
• write a new post
• add photo to the post using camera or library
• assign categories
• add link to other post or URL
• preview the post
• publish the post
• create and manage pages (parenting and templates)
• moderate comments
